What is a search engine?
Search Engine is a program/scripts that search for web
documents in world wide web (www) for specific keywords for its users. Every
search engine has its algorithms for retrieving the best and meaningful
outcomes for their user search queries. We know Google and Bing, as in the same
role, but there are other players too. Here is a list of some popular search
engines in the universe.

With
no doubt we can say, this is one of the top and popular search engine. This web
search is owned by Google Inc (Alphabet) and it is handling billions of search
activity every day. Not only providing the data results Google gives smart results
for images, weather, apps, movies, etc. Google also introduced voice search,
rather than typing users can speak the queries through “Google Voice Search’”and
retrieve their best results.
2. Bing
Bing is another popular search engine which
is owned by the tech giants “Microsoft”. Bing’s result pages are visually more attractive
and they are giving instant smart results for most popular quries. Bing’s social
integrations are more substantial and it is giving more social data.
3. Yahoo Search
This web search which is owned by
Yahoo and it is named as the third largest and popular search engines in the
world. Yahoo offers their best search results along with many search options
like Reference search and so on.
4. Ask
Ask.com is a question answering focused search
engine which is owned by IAC (InterActiveCorp). Typically for their users questions
the search engine brings the best answers.
5. Aol search
Aol search is also one of the popular search
engine, which provides web results such as images, news, local search etc.
